Me as a geeky person who read random books

I'm not a quite book geeky but I do read some books... Well I considered mangga is a book too right, but sometimes I do like to read a heavy reading books... So here it goes :

1. Sophies World (a Novel by Jostein Gaardner)

This is the first 'book' (by mean book is other kind of book that I bought beside manga) I read it when I was in the first year of my college, why and how I know this novel? My high school friend introduce me to philosophy, and she encourage me to read Sophies World as a philosophies virgin. Next thing I know I'm falling in love with the world of philosophy, this book is not a heavy reading at all because it was a novel. It follows the events of Sophie Amundsen, a teenage girl living in Norway, and Alberto Knox, a middle aged philosopher who introduces her to philosophical thinking and the history of philosophy. And apparently the novel has been made to a movie also.

2. DIVKA or Mantra (by Deddy Corbuzier)
At first I bought DIVKA, and later on the author decide it to put DIVKA on his second book MANTRA, Its not a novel thingy books, it was made by amentalist Deddy Corbuzier. When the first time I read this book at the book store, at first it was just a curiosity what kind of book a mentalist would wrote, and once I read the first page I could not get off my eyes of it, it was a really good one, it makes you think and re-think and questioning all kind of things around you.. Well for somehow on DIVKA, it has a philosophical theme on it and it's a psychological theme on MANTRA.


3. Supernova Ksatria, Putri dan Bintang Jatuh (Novel by Dee)
I'm in loooove with this book, the character the story and the conflict is absolutely twisted, this is the kind of readings I liked, it has allots of new information (or other people say, footnotes) and all the characters in it was very unusual, you've got a genius Homosexual (or double), a millionaire prostitute, a multi-international corporate manager (or director or VP.. I forgot) whose a perfect bachelor either, and a career women whose also a perfect wife.
Supernova is a series novel, there's 4 different tittle such as this one "Ksatria, Putri dan Bintang Jatuh" "Akar", "Petir", "Partikel", I read them all but the first series is the one I read most often.

Dee has other books such as, "Rectoverso", "Filosofi Kopi", "Perahu Kertas" and "Madre", besides the Supernova series, all the books are already made into a movie version. "Filosofi Kopi" and "Madre" is my other favorite books.

4. Da Vinci Code (Novel by Dan Brown)
and also "Angels and Demon" and "Digital Fortes", I haven't read the other one "Lost Symbol"...but I'm sure that's will be my next book I'm reading.

Ok, that's it from now.... I have a few other books I haven't shared here.. and a couple of manga, well actually allots of it.

OK... its been a while I didn't post anything here.... so here we goes...

Tanggal 2 Mei 2012, Lapangan D Senayan, pukul 21.00 WIB.... whats happening there?

It's my wildest dream since I were in high school student came true...

L'acr~ en~Ciel.... I repeat L'acr~ en~Ciel live in concert in Indonesiaaaaa.... Whoaaaaa thats true.. I finally watch them live in concert here in my own country.

I see them on my own eyes... Hyde, Yuki, Ken and Tetsu... standing just 2 meters away from me... breathing the same air...Oh My GOD.. it was awesomeeee... for 2 and a half hour we are singing together... just watching Hyde on that stage its beyond my wildest dream ever...

So, when did it starts? the news were buzzing since three months before the concert was held, so.. on January they start to selling the ticket online. Me, (of course) heard the news from my Laruku fans club on facebook,  so.. the other member were trying to buy the ticket online since the counting down of the official ticket selling, at first I don't want to come to the concert if I didn't had a VIP's ticket... I mean, please... how can I see them vividly on the radius of 500meter away from the stage... plus they were having this concert on an outside field... and in Indonesia.. I don't think  I will enjoy their concert if it's not on the VIP's section.

OK, 1 hour before the online ticket selling starts...I'm sitting in front of my computer (at my office of course),.. 10 minutes before it starts... 5 minutes.... 1 minutes.. 10 second.. prepared my finger to click the VIP's ticket button on the web ....2 second... and when I clicked the button and wait for the browser to load the page (and it was the longest 5 second I ever had in my life)... Voila... it was SOLD OUT!!! I cant believe it was sold out for about 5 second latter!! and that's when I think I had a mini heart attack..

I was so disappointed... I didn't thought that the ticket selling would be very quickly Sold Out... I mean, I know that they are very famous among the J-rocks geek like me, and all their die hard fans were actually waiting for this concert for about 20 years since we heard 'The 4th Avenue Cafe'... and I've been waiting for this moment for the entire life.. this is the reason why I've been saving up my money for (well the actual plan was to go visit Japan to watch their concert there).... ooooh... now I know what a broken heart felt :(

Ok, so it was three month before the show... I thought oh well... maybe its not my time to watch them here, maybe someday I could really go to Japan to watch their concert... but it is not easy to let this dream away.. especially they will having it at my own country... I felt like I haven't done enough effort to chase my dream.

So.. the online ticket selling was on again, apparently there was a re-selling of some ticket left, but its only for   the festival and tribune section.

Two days before the concert... I'm having so what they called 'Galau' Syndrome....so I booked festival section ticket, but for somehow I don't have any enough intention to go to, if I'm watching them on the festival section, I mean (again) whats the point of going there...if I'm not able to see them vividly (especially Hyde) so.. I browse again, just checking if there is a possibility to get VIPs ticket ....some of the ticket touts  selling the VIPs ticket for unreasonable price on web... lucky me, one day before the concert, on the FB fan page, the head of Laruku fans club at Jakarta (her name is Kirani,) selling 5 VIPs ticket  from a member who cannot make it to the concert due to a various reason. So....She sold the ticket with the same price as shown on the pro-motor webs, I immediately contact her on FB and write my intention to buy one of the ticket.

So I rush into my car, drive it to the bank and transfer the amount of money to her bank account, I know it sounds really crazy to trust a complete;y stranger you barely known on FB, but hey... I'm not just some stupid girl who can be deceived easily...So, I check my other FB friends on the same fan page rahter she can be trusted or not, and He guaranteed She can be trusted... beside, she is the head of the community isn't she.  

And the rest of the day,.... I planned my trip to Jakarta... I am so busy getting and forgetting how am I going to Jakarta?? So, on the Laruku fan page for Bandung area, the community has a plan for month before to go to the concert place together... they rent 4 buses (yes... 4 giant buses), and I'm too late to joint them because the Buss was full. So, I rent my own car plus a driver and the next day.. we gather at one place to go to Jakarta together, so there we are 4 buses and 3 cars heading to Jakarta to watch Laruku.

Well, even though the concert was held on 9 o'clock in the evening, as soon as we got to court, we have to exchange our e-ticket to the real ticket, so I promised Kirani to meet her on the court, as soon as I arrive there.. I called her, and there she was.. holding my VIPs ticket, and a bunch of souvenir for the VIPs ticket holder.

I guess now I can feel the rush on my head when I'm holding the ticket, 8 hours before the show.  At noon, the gate was still closed but the amount of the audience can't wait to rush in to the court. There were 3 stage of gate, the first was the checking counter where there's only audience with the ticket who can enter the court, second gate is the official souvenir court where you can have a picture with a real size of the Laruku members, I skip the first and second gate... as soon as I arrive at the second gate I'm rushing in to the third gate where the audience were sorted and classified according to the ticket categories... there was a very loooooong queuing on the VIPs section, but not as long as the other.

On 6 o'clock the main gate was open, and the audience who has already queuing were rushing in to the gate, there was still a security check for our belonging, we cant bring a bottle of water, sharps object and any other unofficial souvenir.... after I through with the security checking, I ran immediately in to the front of the stage... and guess what... I got the second line from the stage... wohooo... how close was that from the center stage? well it just 2 meters away from the stage..... and I got the chance to stare Hyde face everytime he sings ...gyaaaaaa >.<, after 6 hours lining up with a sore feet and my body gets sweating allot... it was a show that worth to wait for. On a split  second when I stood up in front of the stage, I can't hardly believe that I finally can see them live in person, singing all the song together with Hyde, watching Ken smoking with his very own cool way, seeing Tetsu playing his bass and throwing his banana during the show (NOTED : its a real banana) .. and last but not least Yukihiro playing his drums vigorously. And I believe that it's not just me who has dream this moment... it was all their fans whose been longing for this dreams to came true.

Soon as the big screen on stage show the opening clips all the girls went crazy and start to screaming their name one by one... and Hyde shown up.. and I scream like a teenage girl (is not that i'm not a teenage girl anymore) it was the moment that I will not forget for my entire life.

There was this one special moment when they sing 'Anata'... the big screen shown the lyrics of the song, and all the audience were singing the song together..... and then suddenly Hyde rise from the stage and sing with us, and the rain start to falling down.. is not as heavy rain, it was a small rain during the song pouring down on the audience while we sing it over and over again.. and it was very romantic. (too bad I'm watching the show alone).

I took a shot with my Blackberry when Tetsu came to my section of stage. There's one part when they doing these 'fans service' where Hyde and Ken great all the fans by speaking in Indonesia (with a piece of paper as a cheat from the official crew ), and the part where Hyde played Seruling Bamboo and Wayang Golek the Indonesia's culture heritage, that moment its also priceless because it only happens here in my country.

So.. I really enjoy their concert, and hoping someday I will watch their concert again at their home country, Japan.

My last word, no matter how crazy or absurd your dream is, pursue it with a full intention. No matter how hard it is just keep one thing in your mind 'I've done my best, let God do the rest'... so keep dreaming and pursuing.
